Two people were rescued after becoming caught in fast-flowing tidal conditions.
The incident happened off Peveril Ledge in Swanage yesterday.
Volunteers at Swanage Coastguard notified the lifeboat station after seeing the pair weren’t making any headway in the strong tidal conditions.
The Swanage inshore lifeboat was then launched and quickly arrived on scene to assist the pair back to shore.
Both were taken onboard the inshore lifeboat along with their kayak and paddleboard and taken back to the lifeboat station, so they could warm up.
Tom Greasty, helm of the inshore lifeboat said: "The tidal flow can be dangerous off Peveril and we are pleased they were spotted. If you see anybody in danger please dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
