POLICE have issued advice for drivers who see an injured deer on the roadside.
Drivers are urged to pull over at the next safe place and call the police.
Motorists are being warned to keep themselves and anyone with them as safe as they can.
They should park their car in the safest place with hazard lights on and call an ambulance if anyone is injured.
Drivers should not approach live deer because it can cause them to run across traffic, potentially causing another accident.
People should not move or handle live deer as they may struggle to get away and cause further injury.
