WEYMOUTH Town Council has raised no objection to a proposal to convert offices in St Nicholas Street, Weymouth into six homes.

A planning application is for 11 St Nicholas Street, behind the bowling complex, a site which extends back into John Street.

The building has been used as offices, spread over three floors, with basement storage. Agents for the company behind the proposal say the building could be converted to four two-bed flats and two one-bed flats without making any external alterations to the existing building. Four ‘informal’ parking spaces would remain in place at the front of the building.

The application is expected to be decide by a Dorset Council planning officer.
