FIRE crews were called out to a retirement home in Weymouth this afternoon.
According to the brigade, a team of on-call firefighters attended Ryan Court at Grosvenor Road, near Lodmoor Hill, after the alarm was raised at around 2.43pm.
"After inspection this was found to be a false alarm caused by dust," a spokesman said.
The fire service is currently recruiting on-call firefighters. Training takes place on a Thursday night at Weymouth Community Fire Station on Radipole Lane from 7 – 9:30pm.
If you think you've got what it takes, and can get to the station within approximately five minutes from your home or work, visit www.dwfire.org.uk/fire-station/weymouth/ to find out more.
