A NUMBER of drivers who stopped to pick up a takeaway face being fined after parking on the approach to a pedestrian crossing.
Several cars were pictured on the approach to the crossing on East Street, Blandford by the Dorset Police No Excuse team.
All of the drivers will face either a driver awareness course or three penalty points on their licence and a £100 fine.
According to the policing team, each of the drivers were parked illegally because they were picking up a takeaway.
Officers visited the area in response to complaints from the public on social media.
No Excuse is Dorset Police's dedicated road safety task force.
A spokesman for the team said: "We will be returning to this location and the local officers are also aware of this issue."
