POUNDBURY Systems Ltd excelled at the South West Chamber of Commerce Awards - winning three prestigious gongs.

The Dorchester-based computer solutions company won the Business of the Year, the Impact of Technology on your Business Award (less than 50 employees) and the Performance through People award.

This follows the success of last year's awards, where the company also took home three gongs.

Director Clare Jenkins said everybody at Poundbury Systems was delighted to win again.

She said: "Winning these three chamber awards two years' running is testament to our desire and ability to achieve these objectives and it is down to the hard work and efforts of all staff.

"We have always been committed to not only providing the best quality service to our customers but also ensuring our employees are happy - highly trained and able to contribute to and enjoy the success of our business."

Poundbury Systems supplies high-quality computer and telephony products and solutions, together with a range of services which allow customers to have their own customised IT department.

The company will now compete against other regional winners in the national finals, where there will be a chance to win a £50,000 cash prize for their business.

Chief executive of Dorset Business Peter Scott said: "As winners of no fewer than three prestigious South West region chamber awards Poundbury Systems Ltd has once again demonstrated its commitment to business excellence.

"Vibrant growth businesses such as this are worthy winners of these awards, and we wish Poundbury Systems every success in the national finals in November."

President of Dorset Business Malcolm Scott-Walby added: "An amazing business - employing terrific people and moving forward at an incredible rate."

These awards add to Poundbury Systems' collection of achievements including the Excelling in the Customer Experience award at the Open 4 Business Awards and various well-recognised industry accreditations and awards.

The national winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on November 29 at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
