THE Ocean Film Festival has been making big waves at locations across Dorset this autumn with its latest collection of spectacular ocean-themed films.

Now in its sixth year, the 2019 tour features nine inspiring short films about our oceans, from above and below the surface using spectacular cinematography.

Over the space of a few hours you are taken on a journey around the globe featuring stories from surfers to fisherman, and marine scientists to artists.

Highlights include a documentary called Emocean, an eclectic assortment of people sharing tales of adventure, adrenaline, inspiration, love and loss through their relationship with the ocean from a variety of coastal locations from California to Hawaii and Australia.

Tour director Nell Teasdale says: “This is your chance to dip your toes into the wonders of the big blue from the comfort of a cinema seat.”

The Ocean Film Festival, the sister of the Banff Mountain Film Festival, originated in Australia with the aim of inspiring people to explore, respect, enjoy and protect the oceans.
