TWO people were hurt in a crash between a car and a van near Beaminster today.
A man, aged 63, from Dorchester, suffered a broken leg among other injuries in the collision on the A356 at Tollerdown Gate, near Rampisham.
His silver Citroen ZX car and a white Ford van were in collision on the road just before 10am today.
The man was flown to the Dorset County Hospital for treatment after being cut free from the wreckage of his car by firefighters.
The man's wife, aged 58, was also cut out of the vehicle.
She was taken to the hospital with whiplash injuries but later discharged.
The driver of the van was a man aged 60 from Hampshire. He was shaken but unhurt.
The road was closed as rescuers helped the injured and cleared the scene.
Police have appealed for witnesses who saw the vehicles before the collision as well as the crash itself.
Officers also want to speak to the driver of a dark blue or black Ford Focus car that left the A356 near the accident at 9.55am.
