Firefighters in Weymouth were blocked by poorly parked cars on the way to responding to a house fire, one day after calls were made for residents to be more considerate when they park.
A fire in a first floor bathroom of a home in Sussex Road was responded to by crews from Weymouth, Dorchester and Portland just before 2pm on Saturday.
This turned out to be a small fire involving a smouldering candle which was extinguished by the homeowner by the time the crews arrived.
This was lucky because the teams were delayed on their way to the incident due to poor parking by residents.
This comes just one day after calls were made for drivers to consider emergency service vehicles when parking their cars aftercrews were delayed on the way to a fire alarm at a house in Weymouth yesterday.
