Firefighters were called to alarms sounding at a property.
At 5.15pm yesterday, on-call firefighters from Weymouth were called to an incident in Fordington, Dorchester.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “While on standby we received a call to alarms sounding on Pound Lane in Fordington.
“Thankfully this turned out to be a false alarm.”
