Train passengers on the Weymouth to London Waterloo line have been warned to expect disruption after a train broke down earlier today.
South Western Railway has reported a train had broken down between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst at about 11.30am today.
All lines have now been reopened but passengers have been warned that there will still be disruption until about 11pm tonight.
Trains on this line may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
The rail company said: "A rescue train has now attached to the faulty train and moved into Brockenhurst Station where trains can pass.
"To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:
"CrossCountry between Bournemouth and Basingstoke in both directions
"Yellow Buses routes 1 and 33 in the Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch areas
"First Bus route 10 between Weymouth and Dorchester
"We have requested replacement buses to run on the following routes:
"Bournemouth to Southampton (calling at all intermediate stations in both directions)"
