The thrills and spills of motocross is coming back to Weymouth Beach this weekend.

The high-flying extravaganza, a partnership between Weymouth & Portland Lions Club and Purbeck Motocross Club with support from Weymouth Town Council, will be held on Sunday, October 13.

More than 300 riders across the different categories are expected to take part, negotiating a course of jumps and bumps.

Riders include experts who have won championships in the UK and abroad.

Although the event is free to watch, the Lions Club will be encouraging people to make charitable donations.

Weymouth Beach Motocross first started in 1984 and is now considered to be the biggest amateur event of its kind in the country.

It kicks off at 12pm and there will be a demonstration on the Saturday from 3pm.
