WITH Weymouth enjoying a bumper tropical summer season earlier this year, plus the added bonus of many people being unsure about the ongoing Brexit shambles and deciding to holiday in the UK rather than go overseas - resulting in the disaster and collapse of Thomas Cook, now our busy two main streets and parts of the Esplanade have become a mini jungle of numerous steel scaffolding structures gripping the walls of many business buildings and private hotels, who are all in the process of renovation and improvement, as a result of taking pride in the ongoing appearance of their properties, in advance of yet another holiday season next year.

At the time of writing, there would appear to be at least a total of at least 20 properties undergoing restoration and an autumn facelift at the moment, ranging from the Gloucester Lodge, the Tattoo Parlour, Palmer & Snell, Scrivens Opticians, Finns public house, Ladbrokes, Reiker shoes and more...

Obviously the business of scaffolding is thriving at the moment, as confirmed by the immense ongoing construction and building developments in central London.

So well done Weymouth for investing in the future.
