Traffic is queuing for three miles on the A35
The A35 was partially blocked earlier due to a broken down lorry.
Traffic was queueing for around three miles from the A3052 near Charmouth to Sun Lane in Morcombelake.
Motorists were advised to take care due to "very sharp showers around with thunder and lightning in the mix".
The lorry was later removed and traffic cleared.
