A distressed gull was rescued by firefighters after getting its wing impaled on a chimney.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to Coronation Road on Portland just before 10am yesterday.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “A crew from Portland Fire Station have assisted the RSPCA in recovering a gull that got itself impaled by its wing on a chimney.”
