Great news for those who love all things frightful and fun - Halloween is nearly here which means Weymouth’s spooky market is back.

Running until Sunday in the town centre, it has brought with it all the ancient traditions and superstitions connected to the ghostly streets of old Weymouth town.

The market, promoted by Weymouth BID, is an all-day event and can be found in St Thomas Street, New Bond Street, and St Mary Street.

It contains a range of ghostly gifts to buy for family and friends, along with flavoursome food and drink.

If you go dressed as a spooky smuggler or a peg-legged pirate, there is a chance to win a prize from the Pirate King himself.

That’s not the only way to impress the ghostly Pirate King; he can also be won over by the person who carves the best pumpkin for a pumpkin light up.

There is also a chance to be entered into a spooky draw to win a mysterious prize. All you have to do is visit the shops around town, read the clues and spot the item in the window that the shop doesn’t usually sell.
