DRUG complaints have led to a police closing down a suspected drugs den in Wyke Regis, Weymouth.
The Weymouth & Portland Police county lines team served a 'closure order' on a residential address in Wyke Regis this afternoon.
The order prevents visitors from entering the property.
"This is in response to complaints of drug activity and anti-social behaviour in the area," a spokesman for the force said.
County lines is the term used to describe urban gangs that supply drugs to other parts of the country.
According to police, county lines gangs use dedicated mobile phone lines to sell drugs and are likely to exploit children and vulnerable adults in order to move and store drugs and money.
Another feature of county lines gangs is the use of an 'operating base', according to police.
Also known as 'cuckooing', this involves gangs taking over a person’s home - often someone who is vulnerable or an addict - to supply drugs from.
