WITH regards to the possibility of the status rating of Weymouth beach being downgraded by dogs using it, what about oil and petrol spills from motorcycles when using the beach for racing?
But I suppose that brings more business to those that mater, namely hotels and beach outlets.
The cost of such beach events to the general public in clean-up operations are not spoken about and horse waste doesn’t seem to matter being left on the sand.
Takings are down, but not rates payable for the pitches, for Sunday opening to serve the dog walking and fresh air fanatics with bacon baps and drinks because of dogs not being able to use the beach.
People stay away. At the time of writing this on a bright sunny Sunday morning, there is nothing I would like more than a beach walk cleaned up after dogs.
