Residents were forced to take action after a tractor caught fire on a Dorset farm.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the tractor blaze that broke out at Higher Norris Mill in Higher Bockhampton at about 11.15am yesterday.
Two fire engines from Dorchester and a water tanker from Bridport were mobilised to the fire.
Upon arrival the tractor was well alight, and firefighters found the owner and passers-by throwing buckets of water over it to stop the fire spreading to a nearby barn.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze using hose reel jets by approximately 11.55am.
The tractor was extinguished, cooled down and moved away from the barn and any animals.
