A missing person search went ahead today on Portland.
FEARS for a missing person on Portland triggered an emergency response.
Coastguards from both Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team and Wyke Regis Coastguard Rescue Team were called to assist Dorset Police with the search this afternoon after the alarm was raised by the coastguard National Maritime Operations Centre, Solent.
"Both coastguard teams were stood down on route, as the person had been found by police," a spokesman for Portland Bill Coastguard said.
