How does one deal with rebels? For that is what they call themselves.

I refer to 'Extinction Rebellion'.

I read that Cllr Ken Watley has voiced his opinion on the way they promoted themselves by fly posting WTC electric boxes, with foul language propaganda. What about their last visit to Weymouth town centre when they drew chalk lines across buildings, allegedly forecasting the tidal level for 2075.

Did they return to erase them? I think not. But the most disturbing thing is their statement in Monday 4 (Nov) Echo. They state that they promote civil disobedience as their way of expressing themselves but of course it will be passive, they say.

They are lucky that there is no law out that defines an illegal gatherings, or is there?

In London, Westminster was held to ransom, traffic held up thus costing the economy a pretty penny. Perhaps they should follow Ghandi's example of passive use of nuisance to achieve an end, but do not forget we had to lock him up in 1942 for three years. His days of prayer would have down tooled the Indian Army, and in could walk the Japanese.

So embarking on the road to backing civil disobedience might not produce the end that XR are hoping to achieve.
