Housing for the elderly?
I, like most other people, are fed up of the council being unable to decide what to do with the old council office building and the cost so far in keeping a building not in use.
Why don’t they turn them into housing for the elderly which would free up the homes they are in now, giving a home for a family to live in whilst still paying rent, income the council needs.
This would be a continual income of available housing as the elderly would pass on meaning someone else could move in giving up another home for a family.
It would also mean that the elderly are close to the town centre which would make shopping and meeting up with friends much easier, whilst giving them a nice view of the harbour.
Maybe then they would be able to attend more of the events in Weymouth.
