I wanted to write to send big thanks to everyone involved in finding and keeping my sketchbook safe while the mystery continued.

It was so wonderful to be reunited with such a precious item, which includes some ideas for developing projects inside.

I had no idea that so much activity and care were taking place, but it was brought to my attention by a friend on Portland that there was good news.

After the despair of the first week it was the greatest moment to receive it safely in the post on Wednesday morning.

I am eternally grateful to the very kind person who found the book and handed it in before it became a lost cause in the endless rain, the café at Sandsfoot Gardens for keeping it safe and sound, the Friends of Rodwell Trail & Sandsfoot Castle, the Dorset Echo and anyone who shared the original post.

I am so happy and appreciate all the concern by everyone trying to solve the mystery.

It is so heartening.
