Police have issued a scam warning after receiving reports of traders in vans offering their services in the town.
The ‘cold callers’ are visiting homes unannounced offering to power wash drives and gutters in exchange for cash.
Issuing a warning, a spokesman for Weymouth and Portland Police said: “We have received several calls about two vans that are sign written advertising cleaning services.
“One is red and one is blue and they are both Citroen Relay vans and do not have UK registration plates.
“Do not buy from unsolicited doorstep traders. Please make your family and friends aware that these scams are taking place across Dorset, including the Weymouth area.”
Report suspicious activity to Dorset Police on 101.
