Drinkers can raise a glass for a good cause today as Weymouth's Nothe Fort host its first Beer and Music Festival in association with Piddle Brewery.

All money raised will got towards Royal British Legion' Poppy Appeal.

Running from 12pm until late, it will see local beers sold alongside Bratwurst and wood-fired pizzas, with musical performances and artillery displays keeping guests entertained.

Piddle Brewery, based in Piddlehinton, has brewed two real ales for the Nothe – Whistling Gunner and Sappers Courage. They will both be on sale at the festival, alongside a selection of other brewed delights.

Musical entertainment will be provided by a range of artists, including Joocy Loops and Tim Fawkes.

Tickets to the Beer and Music Festival at Nothe Fort are £10 for adults and £2 for children, available from the Nothe Fort website or by calling 01305 766626.
