COASTGUARDS were alerted to a washed-up dinghy yesterday.
A sspokesman for Kimmeridge Coastguard said: "Please be advised that we have been made aware of a washed up dinghy to the west of Kimmeridge Bay.
"Having thoroughly investigated with the National Maritime Operations Centre, we are happy to report this is from an incident reported earlier in the week from the Weymouth area and as a result of the stormy weather in which no persons were ever in danger.
"Many thanks to a local fisherman that notified us, we will always investigate such findings."
