DISADVANTAGED children will still receive a visit from Santa this Christmas thanks to the generosity of two Weymouth businessmen.

Clive Garman and Andy Sharpe, owners of Weyprint and Sherren's printers, have donated £100 to the Dorset Echo Christmas Toy Appeal, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

Every penny of the donation will be spent on presents for children whose families cannot afford to buy gifts this year.

Mr Garman said: "We're backing the Toy Appeal again this festive season because we believe no child should go without on Christmas day.

"It's a great initiative that enables businesses to give something back to the community."

Sherrens is the last remaining litho-printing company in Weymouth, providing a range of services including banners, stickers, plan scanning and large format printing to businesses throughout the country.

In 2011 the company was taken over by the pair, and in May 2017 they acquired Weyprint, before relocating to their current home at the Granby Industrial Estate.

Clive and Andrew have been keen to maintain the Sherrens and Weyprint brand, whilst keeping ahead with new technology and techniques to provide a 'walk in one-stop print and copy shop'.

The Dorset Echo Toy Appeal has reached a milestone 20th year and businesses have already been generously supporting the appeal by donating £100.

Last year, readers and businesses raised a record-breaking grand total of £4,782.97 and we need your help again to beat this target.

Dorset Echo promotions manager Debbie Hellaby said: "Without the support of our readers and businesses we would not be able to help put smiles on all those families' faces at Christmas, so a big 'thank you' in advance of your help."
