DREAM Cottages has made a generous donation to the Dorset Echo Christmas Toy Appeal.

The Toy Appeal is now in its 20th year to help make Christmas special for children facing hardship.

Dorset businesses have been quick to show their support once again by making £100 donations.

Every penny will go towards buying gifts for children, babies and teenagers from disadvantaged backgrounds who would otherwise be going without presents on Christmas day.

Weymouth business Dream Cottages has supported the appeal for several years, and the team are always enthusiastic about helping Dorset’s less-fortunate youngsters.

Joy Sangster, managing director of Dream Cottages said: “Dream Cottages is very proud to support the Toy Appeal for the fourth year running.

“We feel it’s important to support local charities and causes within our local community and as the leading holiday cottage company in Dorset, are delighted to be making this donation on behalf of everyone in the team at Dream Cottages. We believe that no child should go without at Christmas.”

Dream Cottages offers 300 holiday cottages across Dorset. They pride themselves on making sure guests have a memorable holiday in the county - so it’s fitting that they will once again make it a memorable holiday season for less-fortunate families.

Their generous donation will be spent on gifts that are sure to bring a smile to the faces of children of all ages. The presents are distributed just in time for Christmas.

Last year’s Toy Appeal saw readers and businesses raise a grand total of £3,428.99 and we need your help again to beat this target.

All it takes is a one-off donation of £100, which will make a big difference to children facing poverty.

Dorset Echo promotions manager Debbie Hellaby said: “Without the support of our readers and businesses we would not be able to help put smiles on all those families’ faces at Christmas, so a big ‘thank you’ in advance for your help.”
