Once again I was proud to take part in the Remembrance parade in Bridport.
Although we no longer have a Royal Antediluvian Order of the Buffaloes, or the ‘Buffs’ Lodge, in Bridport, I like to represent the thousands of Buffs worldwide who paid the supreme sacrifice in all the wars.
As usual, it was very well-organised, but what impressed me most was seeing all our youngsters in their various groups, such as the cubs, sea scouts, guides etc. all equally playing their part in the parade, marching along with all us adults.
It has been reported in the national press that today’s young people have no interest, nor even care, about the conflicts of the past - it nice to see the children of Bridport bucking the national trend.
