POLICE have released CCTV images of two people they want to speak to after an elderly woman had her purse stolen.
The victim, a woman aged in her 70s, was shopping at the Lidl store in Dorchester Road, Weymouth at around 11am on Thursday, October 17, when her purse was taken from her bag.
Following enquiries, officers believe the incident may be linked to similar offences where elderly women have had their purses stolen at various locations around Dorset over the past few months.
Police Community Support Investigator Graeme Williams, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this purse theft and I am issuing CCTV images of two people we would like to speak to as part of our enquiries.
“I would urge anyone with information as to their identities to please contact us.”
