FIRE crews were called out to deal with a horse stuck in mud.
However, the horse managed to free itself with the help of other horses, according to the rescue service.
A spokesman for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "One fire crew from Dorchester and a specialist Animal Rescue team from Poole have attended reports of a horse stuck in mud in Charminster.
"It appears that the horse which was stuck was very interested in one of the younger horses nearby and the vet on scene advised the crew to bring it closer to encourage the horse to move, which it managed to."
The fire service was called to the incident at around 4pm yesterday afternoon.
