Entries are invited for a competition to design a logo for Weymouth Carnival 2021.
It is open to 11-18 year-olds who are free to create any design of their choosing as long as it includes the words 'Weymouth Carnival'.
Organisers want the logo to be 'representative of Weymouth', maybe something you are proud of?
It can be in any media but must be on A4 format. Take a picture of it or scan it and email it to competitions@weymouthcarnival.co.uk by December 31. Include your name, age and contact number of parent/guardian.
A panel will judge entries in the new year. As well as the prestige of seeing their logo being turned into reality – courtesy of PXLtree.media – and incorporated into all carnival branding – the winner will receive a goodie bag.
Senior schools are also being approached so students are aware of this competition. Details of another competition to design a mascot aimed at younger children will be announced next year.
