British Transport Police are appealing for help to trace the family of a man who sadly died at Moreton railway station.

The incident happened at around 3.30pm on Friday November 1.

Officers were called to the area following a report of a casualty on the tracks after they were hit by a train. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

Alan Da Silva Pastora, 57, from Bournemouth, was found dead at the scene.

Extensive efforts to locate his family have so far been unsuccessful and officers are now appealing to the public for more information.

His family are believed to have previously lived in the Dorset area.
