More than 30 anglers have 'Hooked Up' to help raise funds for Dorset County Hospital.
The anglers met on October 9 for their Hooked Up event at Todber Manor fishing lakes, whereupon they raised a total of £1,200 for the Day Surgery Unit of Dorset County Hospital.
They came from the Sturminster and Hinton Angling Association and the Wareham and District and Wimborne and District Angling Clubs.
The event's organisers Michail Cullen and Stephen Batts subsequently went to the Day Surgery Unit to present the cheque.
Kitz Clifford, Fundraising Officer at Dorset County Hospital Charity, said: "We’d like to thank all the anglers who showed up and supported this event despite the weather. We are especially grateful to John Candy for allowing free use of the lakes, and to Michail and Stephen for all their hard work on the Hospital’s behalf. It is very much appreciated."
The event's principal sponsors were Dean Watts of Purbeck Angling in Wareham and Wayne of Bournemouth Fishing Lodge.
