IT'S time to get your nominations in for the 'Rural Oscars' – an annual celebration of food, farming, enterprise and heritage.

The Countryside Alliance Awards, are returning for their 15th year and this is a chance for Dorset businesses to be a part of the highlight of the rural calendar.

Already nominated is Old Mill Supper Club based at Lower Ansty near Dorchester.

The awards are driven by public nomination, offering customers the chance to tell judges why their favourite businesses are worthy of national acclaim. Judges will not just be looking for evidence of great produce, customer service and innovation, but stories of how businesses serve their communities.

Categories are Local Food & Drink; Village Shop/ Post Office; Butcher; Rural Enterprise; Pub.

Nominations close on Sunday, December 8 with regional champions announced in May 2020. The final will then be held in June 2020 at the House of Lords.
