Police have been busy tackling anti-social behaviour in Weymouth.

On Monday night, officers from Weymouth and Portland Police were called to the train station following reports of a woman being in breach of her Criminal Behaviour Order.

The 39-year-old woman was found, arrested and has since appeared before the courts.

On Tuesday morning, officers were called to reports of anti-social behaviour on The Esplanade at 10.35am.

Two men were issued with Section 35 Dispersal Orders directing them to leave the area of Weymouth town centre.

A 38-year-old woman was also given a Community Protection Notice this week after coming to police attention.

This bans the woman from entering parts of the town and engaging in anti-social behaviour.

If she breaches this ban, she can be arrested.

A spokesman for Weymouth and Portland Police said: “Please keep reporting anti-social behaviour to us so we can take the appropriate action. We rely on information and reporting from members of the public to support preventative Orders and Notices being issued to individuals intent on causing anti-social behaviour.”
