SEVERAL events have been planned at the United Church Dorchester in the lead-up to Christmas, including the return of its popular Journey to the Stable event.

A quiet Christmas Service will take place at the church on Friday, December 13 at 3pm.

This will be a short, quiet, traditional service of around 30 minutes celebrating the Christmas story.

It will be followed by Christmas refreshments in the church afterwards.

The church’s Journey to the Stable event will return this weekend (Saturday, December 7).

Journey to the Stable is an interactive experience helping to explain the true meaning of Christmas.

There are seven stations focusing on a person or part of the Christmas story with readings and reflections.

At each station there is a small activity or object for you to take away.

Journey to the Stable will be open on the following dates and times:

Saturday, December 7 (11am to 3pm).

Thursday, December 12 (11am to 3pm)

Friday, December 13 (11am to 2pm)

Saturday, December 14 ( 11am to 3pm)

Monday, December 16 to Saturday, December 21 (10am to 12.30pm)
