An electric vehicle charge point will be requested when changes are made to the car park outside Dorchester’s Vespasian House.
The building’s owners are asking planning permission to enclose the existing porch to create an entrance lobby, create a new entrance to the existing car park from Barrack Road, create a loading bay and reorganise the existing ten car park spaces, as well as providing two new cycle stores.
Dorchester town councillors decided to recommend agreeing the application but would like Dorset Council to ask for an electric vehicle point to be installed in the car park when the work is done.
The office block is the local headquarters of the Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group.
