Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an altercation involving two women – one of whom had a broom.

The incident reportedly took place on Sunday, December 1 at about 5pm in North Allington, Bridport.

It is said to have involved involve two women in their 50s who are known to each other, and the altercation reportedly involved one of them carrying a broom.

PC Rebecca Barnes of Bridport police said: "We are continuing to investigate this incident and have spoken to both parties involved. No arrests have been made.

"I am now appealing for any independent witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us."
