An art lecture focusing on winter will be held in west Dorset this month.

It will explore ‘the Frost Fairs’, Dutch painting - for example Avercamp and Breughal - Japanese winter paintings, the impressionist view of winter sunshine, photographs of Paris in the snow by Lee Miller, the ice sculpture of Andy Goldsworthy and snow pieces by Helen Chadwick, as well as short readings of prose and poetry.

It will take place at Uplyme Village Hall on December 14 and St Mary’s Church House, Bridport, on December 15, both from 2pm to 3.30pm.
