POLICE want to trace the owner of a keyring containing a lock of hair that was found in Weymouth.
Officers said the distinctive item is a small keyring with a lock of hair contained within.
It was found by members of the public near HSBC bank in St Mary Street, in Weymouth town centre on Saturday December 14.
A spokesman for Weymouth & Portland Police said: "This distinctive item was handed in to the Blue Squad Sergeant whilst on patrol.
"We believe it might have significant sentimental value and are keen to return it to its owner."
