I HAVE been unduly critical of events in Weymouth in the past, including a juicy jeremiad against the Jurassic Skyline, so I felt it only right that I should eulogise a momentous event which happened recently, namely, the dispatching of this dreadful drain pipe, this cylinder of unseemliness, this tall vessel of vulgarity, this repulsive pencil of perfidy, to that great big Duct Pipe Graveyard in the Sky.

Well done Weymouth!

Something good has happened at last!

I will be visiting my mother (98 1/3 yrs) over Christmas and intend to make a holy pilgrimage to the Lookout Café specifically not to see this nasty, nonsensical knitting needle despoiling the glorious view.
