A MAN exposed himself to a woman in a shocking incident near Dorchester.

A man indecently exposed himself in front of a woman in her 60s in the Meadow View area of Charminster about 7pm on Sunday.

It is reported that the victim heard a knock on her window.

A few minutes later she went into her garden she saw the man exposing himself on the pathway.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The man is described as white, aged in his mid-to-late 30s and wearing a dark-coloured jumper and black or dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms.

Detective Constable Gerald Marchant of Weymouth CID, said: "An investigation is underway into the incident and we are continuing to support the victim.

"I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Charminster area around the relevant time, or who has any information about this incident, to come forward.

"I would also urge local residents to check their home CCTV systems or dashcams for any relevant footage."
