Three men have appeared in court after a huge cannabis factory was discovered in Dorset.
Hundreds of plants were found in two units at the Sandford Lane estate, Wareham, last Friday.
Three Albanian men – one aged 22, of no fixed abode, one aged 25, of address unknown, and a third man aged 46, of no fixed abode, appeared at Weymouth Magistrates Court on Monday charged with producing a quantity of Class B drug cannabis.
The 22-year-old was also charged with possessing cannabis. They were remanded in custody and will appear at Bournemouth Crown Court later in the month.
Speaking earlier in the week, a Dorset Police spokesman said: "At around 11pm on Friday, December 27, officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at industrial units in Sandford Lane in Wareham.
“A very large quantity of what is believed to be cannabis is being seized. Members of the public can expect to see a police presence at the premises while it is cleared."
