MORE than 220 homes could be built on two North Dorset sites.

Separate developers say they have plans for 130 homes for a site off Station Road at Stalbridge and 98 homes in Sturminster Newton.

Gladman Developments Ltd say in a legal notice that they will apply to Dorset Council for outline consent for up to 130 homes, including ‘affordable’ homes and public open spaces with access off Station Road.

Developers Lewis Wyatt (Construction) Ltd and four individuals say in another legal public notice that they intend to apply for permission for 98 homes on a site off Elm Close and Bull Ground Lane, Sturminster Newton.

The application says the consent will be for the demolition of farm buildings and the development of the site with 98 new homes, including 24 ‘affordable’ homes, public open space and allotments.

The formal application forms are not yet available on the Dorset Council’s planning website for either application.
