As reported in the Echo yesterday, residents have been warned to stay away from cliffs at West Bay following a land slide.

Here's what our readers had to say about it:

Usual problem in my opinion. Even the most insignificant 'could be' is hyped up to be a world disaster nowadays. People get fed up with such arrant nonsense with the result that real dangers, as here, tend to be not correctly identified. People, please take notice here. The danger is real. Robert Court

Total nonsense. How do you decide what is a real danger and what isn't? The answer is you listen to the people who know better. Unfortunately you can't fix stupid. The_dorset_local

Absolutely agree.

It's extremely dangerous to be walking under (and on top of) the cliffs in this area, and many others along the Jurassic coast. hello world

these idiots seem to rely on the emergency services placing themselves in danger to extricate them from their self induced predicament. Vegit8

If people are stupid enough to ignore the warning signs then leave them to suffer and die albeit under the land or sea after all it helps reduce the population and the thick idiots that fail to listen will help send out a message to the others beforehand. Why waste hundreds of thousands on stupidity. P j d
