The A354 Weymouth Relief Road was closed after a van was destroyed in a fire.
Police and fire services were called at about 10am this morning to the reports of a van ablaze in the road.

Two fire crews were sent to the scene, one each from Weymouth and Dorchester stations, and police closed the road between the Jurassic Roundabout and the Football Ground Roundabout.
It was also reported that there was fuel in the road and the road surface had been damaged from the blaze.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire using breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.

The local authority and removal were requested and the road was reopened at about 11am.
