A NEW entrance to Dorchester’s Vespasian House and changes to the car park have been agreed.
The building’s owners had asked Dorset Council to enclose the existing porch with glass side panels and a glass door to create an entrance lobby, as well as developing a new entrance to the existing car park from Barrack Road and to create a loading bay and reorganise the existing ten car park spaces. The scheme also allows for two new cycle racks and improved landscaping for the area.
The 32,000 square foot office block, spread over four floors, is the local headquarters of the Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group and the Dorset Primary Care Trust.
Dorset Council has approved the scheme which, a planning officer, says will enhance the area.
