THREE men were arrested in a crackdown on suspected drug dealing in Weymouth.

Officers from the County Lines Management Team conducted a stop check of two males in the Cemetery near to Longcroft Road, Weymouth on Wednesday afternoon following reports of drug related activity in the area.

A spokesman for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "Both males, who are local to the Weymouth area, were searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act and were subsequently arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

"A further male, from Liverpool was detained on Abbotsbury Road.

"He was also searched and was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

"A property nearby was then searched. Suspected Class A drugs and a quantity of cash were seized as a result of the stop checks.

"All three males have since been released under investigation whilst our enquires continue."
