COASTGUARDS and police have been out searching for a missing person on Portland.
The search was triggered during the early hours of this morning.
Coastguard officers from Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team and Wyke Regis Coastguard Rescue Team were alerted to the incident by the National Maritime Operations Centre (NMOC) at around 3.33am.
A spokesman for Portland Bill coastguard said: "Coastguard teams were tasked by NMOC to assist Weymouth & Portland Police with a missing person search on Portland.
"The casualty was located by police, both teams stood down and returned to station."
